Beauty
Inspired by ‘52 Weekend Projects’ (and a lack of funds) I have made a beauty dish. I deviated from the instructions for securing the end cap (I just couldn’t bring myself to use wire/fishing line) and opted instead for a more sturdy solution; 75mm size 4 bolts and accompanying nuts. I also opted for a white finish over silver or gold for a softer light. I will post the results following this weekends shoots, but preliminary testing has proved extremely positive.
Last Thursday I had a great session with a very lovely lady called Mandy, who needed some portraits for her portfolio and for her new website. She was extremely easy to work with and I am looking forward to working with her again soon.
I had a great shoot with a very pleasant family yesterday and had the opportunity to try out a few ideas I had only really had on paper before. The two girls, Alicia & Kirsty, were very energetic, patient and had one or two ideas of their own! Together with their mum, Angie, they made the shoot a lot of fun and some of the fantastic results can be seen above…
Saturday afternoon saw a fantastic shoot with Paul & Nicole, starting with some corporate style images for their different portfolios and then some couple shots just for fun! I hope they are pleased with the results, they certainly left some very positive comments on the feedback forms.
On Friday I was fortunate enough to work with the very talented guitarist and bongo player Paul Day. We spent a couple of hours in the studio and succeeded in capturing some insightful images.
